Coaches - What to do next

There are several actions you can take to make your club inclusive and safe.

• Be proactive and promote inclusive practices within your team and throughout the club.
• Ask the management committee to discuss ways of making the club more inclusive of people from different cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Consider becoming a mentor or liaison person (or ask your management committee to appoint someone to this role) to support new club members, particularly those from multi-cultural backgrounds.
• Act quickly when you see discriminatory behaviour. Discuss the impact and consequences of this behaviour with the person concerned.
