The October edition of the Play by the Rules e-Bulletin is packed full of news, events, grants and useful info.
Coaches are in positions of trust and able to assert authority and power over players; read our article on how the proper use of this power is vitally important in all coach and player relationships. We also feature a piece on the role of sports tribunals. We tell you what they are and when you could use them to help members get a fair and unbiased hearing when disputes arise.
This month's issue also highlights a number of programs and campaigns, including QLD's Get in the Game initiative, and an anti-violence campaign called Real Heroes Walk Away. We also tell you how you can get more involved in the recently-launched Racism. It Stops with Me and No to Homophobia campaigns.
There's the usual seminar and conference updates; grants and awards information; and a few competitions you could enter to win great prizes.
We also promo a range of Play by the Rules resources, including a new events calendar and free downloadable posters and flyers.
Spring is upon us, the weather is warming up, so no matter what your sport is get out there and get involved!
