Where to go if you have a complaint or concern

Do you have a complaint about how you or another player is being treated?

If a person is not following the rules, or if you think that you (or someone else in your team) have been discriminated against, sexually harassed or victimised, then tell someone about it. People you could talk to include:

  • a friend
  • your club's Member Protection Information Officer
  • a club official
  • your sport's State/Territory association
  • your State/Territory sport and recreation agency
  • your State/Territory equal opportunity or anti-discrimination agency.

Do you have a harassment issue, complaint or concern?

If you want to raise a concern or make a complaint of inappropriate behaviour in sport (such as harassment, discrimination or abuse), the Australian Sports Commission has developed a chart that will help you work out who to contact initially and how to contact them.

Do you have a concern about how a child or young person is being treated?

You have a responsibility to report your concerns to the Member Protection Information Officer or someone of authority in your club.
