Sideline Behaviour

Let Kids be Kids is a national campaign that addresses poor sideline behaviour - largely at junior sport.

The behaviour of people on the sidelines of junior sport can have a profound impact on kids' participation and enjoyment of sport.

Play by the Rules will explore opportunities for a new version of Let Kids be Kids - or a similarly themed campaign - from 2026 onwards.

In the meantime you can:

  • Visit the Play by the Rules eLearning Platform and complete the current 'Let Kids be Kids' online course, which still has some great messages!
  • Read our tips about how clubs, associations and individuals can create a positve environment for children and address poor sideline behaviour.
