Sport is more than just a game. It’s one of life’s great teachers, shaping us in ways that extend far beyond
the field. However:

  • 73% of Australian adults (16.3 million) did not participate in organised sport in the past year.
  • Only 36% of Australian children (1.7 million) participated in organised sport outside of school at least
    once a week.

Everyone has a place in sport

The Play Well Partner Activation is all about showing Australians they have a place in sport.

Creating great sporting environments and experiences is central to the Play Well Strategy, which is working to ensure that people of all ages, backgrounds, genders and abilities can come together to access the benefits of sport.

We encourage you engage with the activation, use the toolkit and share it through your networks.

The Australian Sports Commission have developed a suite of resources including social media assets, posters, digital banners and in-language assets to make it easy for you spread the word and encourage more Australians to get involved in sport as participants, coaches, officials and volunteers.
