Administrators play a vital role in sport, particularly to reduce the potential for things to go wrong. Here, you can access resources to help you manage risks in your sport.
Coaches and officials are what make sport tick. They play a crucial role in helping keep sport safe, fair and inclusive. Here are a number of tools and resources to help you do just that.
If you are a player then you can make a huge contribution to making sport safe, fair and inclusive. Your behaviour influences others, not only your team mates, but everyone involved in sport.
As a parent you should be aware of your clubs responsibilities. At the same time you also have responsibilities and you can play a huge role in creating a safe environment for your child.
Play by the Rules offers training for Member Protection Information Officers that includes a face-to-face component and online training.
You can find out more about the online training and enrol on the free MPIO course here.
You need to complete the online training before the face-to-face training in your state/territory. Below you can find a list of upcoming courses and links to register for upcoming face-to-face training.
Face-to-face training is also offered in a virtual format where circumstances mean that it is not possible to conduct a 'live' workshop. This is useful where there are restrictions on movement (due to the pandemic) or there is demand to conduct regional/rural training and the logistics are too difficult to organise. In these circumstances the 'virtual' version of the face-to-face training is a good option.
We've also included here details of state/territory workshops on complaint handling and child safety.
Once you have done the online and face-to-face training you can register nationally and receive support online - you can register here.
